Deciding how to vote

Many people are struggling to decide who to vote for in next week’s local elections. Sometimes it’s a generally distaste for all political parties, sometimes it’s confusion over the coalition and where the LibCons really stand, often though it’s just lack of knowledge about what policies people are really standing for.

A useful tool is Vote For Policies, an online survey which links your personal preferences over various policy ideas with the parties who are putting them forward. The tool was used in the 2010 election, but is still live and relevant for next week’s.
