Green Party to stand in Broxtowe

Broxtowe Green Party has selected David Mitchell to stand as its candidate in the forthcoming General Election.

David Mitchell is a father of three, and he was recently elected to School Board of Governors as a Parent Governor for Round Hill Primary School. He was selected to stand for the Greens following a ballot of local green party members in the Broxtowe constituency.

David Mitchell says: “I am honoured to be standing for the Green Party in Broxtowe. The Green voice in our community needs official
representation. We hope our campaigning will bring morerealise that a Green vote will always count in the long run.”

Mr Mitchell will join with several hundred other Green Party candidates across the country putting forward radical policies for a greener, fairer Britain. They will campaign under the slogan ‘Fair is worth fighting for’, with policies on fair taxation, pensions, better public transport, action on climate change, economic renewal and saving the NHS from privatization.
